Effective strategies for managing Parent / Teen differences

FAMILY MEETINGS

 

FORMAT: ONE-HALF DAY (min. 3 Hrs.)

CONTENT:

•  Rationale for Family Meetings

•  Overview of Family Meeting Process

•  Strategies between meetings

•  Role Play Practice and Debrief

FOLLOW-UP: 1-2 Hr. follow-up for the purpose of discussion what works/challenges of Family Meetings. Includes ½ hour phone consultation available for each participant over the course of the following six months.

Effective Communication Skills for your business and personal life

•  Knowledge, skills and strategies for preventing and managing conflict.

•  Our roles and responsibilities as parents

•  Limitations and challenges we face (real and fear based)

•  Effective strategies to maximize our involvement and connection with our children

Participants will gain:

•  Effective strategies on staying connected and strengthen the bonds with your children.

•  How to parent given the real limitations and challenges.

Life Skill Parenting

Yes your children can learn how to earn a living, but how will they learn to communicate effectively with others from different backgrounds? Can your children problem solve effectively? Can your children think creatively to expand options? Do your children think about the consequences before they act? What is the connection between these skills and material & social success in life?

 

FORMAT: ONE-HALF DAY (min. 3 Hrs.)

•  What life skills are important to promote in our children?

•  How our children learn these life skills

•  How as parents can we develop these life skills in our children?

•  What can we expect from these efforts internally and externally of the family?

Participants will gain:

•  An vision of what is important to "succeed in life"

•  A clarity and recommitment to their roles as parents

•  Strategies to develop these life skills in their children.

Step family communication strategies

If you are having trouble getting along with your ex, your ex's new partner, or even your new partner, then this workshop is for you.  Do you want to improve your communication with your ex or your ex's new partner? This workshop will show you how to resolve conflict without losing yourself.

FORMAT: ONE-HALF DAY (min. 3 Hrs.)

CONTENT:

•  What were the expectations?

•  What would you like the relationship to be?

•  What strategies have been attempted?

•  What are the problematic issues that are the most challenging?

•  What strategies can be employed to resolve these issues while strengthening the relationship?

Participants will gain:

•  A reality check of their expectations

•  A clarity and recommitment to their roles as parents

•  Appreciation for a common predicament

•  A range of effective strategies to address common issues

•  An increased ability to head off future problems
